Professional career

Martin started his accountancy career with an established firm of Chartered Accountants in the Sheffield area before joining the practice in 1990. He became a director of the company in 2004.

He has always been interested in all areas of taxation with the primary motivation of reducing his clients' tax liabilities. He has a wide general knowledge of all tax and business areas.

Before entering into the accountancy field he was an apprentice footballer with Sheffield United.
